weee EUROPE becomes PRONEXA - the one-stop shop for reporting your electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), batteries and packaging put on Market in Europe.
In 2025, the one-stop shop for reporting the placing on the market of EEE and batteries will be extended to include household packaging, to simplify the procedures for producers of EEE and batteries at European level. Industrial and commercial packaging (EIC), for which the EPR system came into force on 2025 January 1st, will also be covered as soon as the first Producer Responsibility Organizations (PROs) are approved in this area.
It is therefore only natural that the weee EUROPE service, whose name referred directly to Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), evolves to include packaging in its range of services and becomes PRONEXA.
PRONEXA brings together 19 European PROs since 2014, including ecosystem for France.
Manage all regulatory obligations more easily
"The biggest hurdle for companies is the practical implementation of legal regulations, especially because these vary greatly from country to country," says Christian Ludwig, CEO of PRONEXA. "And this is precisely where we support manufacturing companies, as well as online retailers and importers, who are also involved in extended producer responsibility."
These differences in the transposition of European regulations by each of the Member States are also to be expected when the reform of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) is transposed into the respective national legislations. "Entrepreneurs want real relief here, someone who is reliably familiar with all the European countries concerned and who can support them in implementing the requirements," explains M. Ludwig.

PRONEXA analyses for you the compliance obligations to which you are subject in your various countries of activity, and identifies whether you can benefit from exemptions or simplified reporting. As your authorised representative, PRONEXA will then ensure that you comply with the local authorities and sign contracts with the PROs in each European country in which you put equipment on market.
A data management platform is also available for centralized reporting of your products on the market, covering 30 European countries.
This solution means that companies putting equipment on several European markets can have a single point of contact, who will take care of the formalities for them on each of the European markets.
